Napoli president Aurelio de Laurentiis has talked about Lorenzo Insigne and the player’s future at the Partenopei.

Insigne’s contract at Napoli runs out at the end of the season but the club have not yet got him to pen a new deal. The Italian will be free to discuss terms with other clubs from January onwards.

De Laurentiis spoke to TuttoNapoli at an event and stated: “We are serene, we discuss. In my life, in cinema as in football, I have never forced my hand. It means leaving the best decision of their life to others, profession and future.

“If Insigne wants to continue, we will welcome him with open arms. If he thinks that his career in Naples is over, we will come to terms with it. He should first decide and then we should accept this decision.”
