Morocco Takes The Three Points Against Sudan

Morocco kicked off their quest for a place in Qatar 2022 FIFA World Cup with a 2-0 won over Sudan at the Prince Moulay Abdellah stadium.

Sudan was no match for the Atlas Lions who scored the two goals in each half of the game.

Naif Aguerd for Morroco in front just ten minutes of play as the Rennes center-back took advantage of the Sudanese defense’s hesitation to send a sharp shot in the net.

 

 

The Atlas Lions dominated the game, but failed to add more goals before the break.

An Abuaagla Abdalla deflected the ball saw Morocco extended the lead to 2-0 right minutes into the second half.

The hosts could have made it three but Youssef En-Nesyri’s goal was ruled out for offside on Sofiane Boufal.

The victory saw Morocco top Group I with three points and two goals.

Their next FIFA World Cup qualifier game will be against Guinea-Bissau on September 6.
