Tottenham’s starting line-up for tonight’s Premier League trip to Everton has been confirmed.

Jose Mourinho’s men go into this one knowing only a victory will do if they are to keep their faint hopes of qualifying for the Champions League alive.

Spurs currently sit seventh in the table, six points behind fourth-placed West Ham United.

Defeat to Everton would see them lose further ground on the likes of West Ham, Chelsea and Liverpool, while also allowing the Toffees to leapfrog them in the standings.

So what is the team Mourinho has trusted to get the job done at Goodison Park?

The big change is that Spurs will line up with a back five. The centre-backs are Eric Dier, Joe Rodon and the returning Toby Alderweireld.

Moussa Sissoko comes in to partner Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg in defensive midfield, meaning Tanguy Ndombele’s role has changed – he will presumably play further up the pitch, providing support for Heung-min Son and Harry Kane up front.

The full-backs, Sergio Reguilon and Serge Aurier, should be given extra licence to attack with three centre-backs lightening their defensive load.
