Metz manager Frédéric Antonetti handed 10-game touchline ban

The LFP’s disciplinary commission have handed Metz manager Frédéric Antonetti a 10-game ban following his fight with Lille sporting coordinator Sylvain Armand during the two teams’ meeting last week.

Antonetti had been sent off following an altercation with Armand on the touchline, with the former later justifying his actions claiming that the Lille management had tried to put undue pressure on the referee.

The ban includes a three-game suspended sentence, meaning the coach will as it stands only serve seven games. Armand himself has also been banned, for four games.
