A Melbourne Derby headlines the A-League Round 5 program and there is a case to be built for both City and the Victory this time.
The reigning champions have mixed their form so far this season, recording two wins, a draw and a loss. They did win last week, but managed just one goal against a pretty poor Brisbane Roar.
The Victory, meanwhile, have well and truly exceeded expectations.
Having finished last season anchored to the bottom of the ladder for the first time in their existence, Tony Popovic’s men have recorded three wins from their four matches so far.
They responded to their first loss of the season with a win over Adelaide in Round 4, despite having been reduced to ten men.
I personally do not understand the huge disparity in match betting here, and I am happy to take the value on offer for the Victory.
