WILFRIED NANCY

“At halftime, I warned everyone. We have to close this game. If we don’t, there is a real danger of us conceding. We can’t take control of the game and in the last 20 minutes play with no structure. We didn’t respect the game. Today, there was a lack of humility. I told the players what I thought and again, we have to be better. Only work will make a difference. We have to repeat the actions we see in our practice sessions with high intensity. We know what we are doing and we will keep doing it.”

VICTOR WANYAMA

“We put in a lot of effort to create opportunities, but this time we didn’t score. We’ve been working in training to have a better finishing but at the moment it’s not working for us. We have to keep working hard to finish in front of goal. To be honest, we had the game in our hands, and we dominated it. They did nothing apart from these two set pieces. So mentally, it’s difficult. You start thinking about getting the next goal and chasing the game again, it’s not easy. In football, you lose some and you win some. The most important thing is how you take it.”

DJORDJE MIHAILOVIC

“I came here to win. It’s frustrating to give up two games in a row like this. We needed to get a second goal to kill the game and we didn’t do it. We conceded two goals on set pieces, that shouldn’t be happening. This kind of game comes down to your mentality. The physical and mental aspect of the game has to come into play. In a league like MLS, every team has quality. Mentally we weren’t there when we needed too.”
