Wednesday sees a trip to Barifa grounds for our midweek fixture with Arua Hill SC. The reverse fixture between the two in December last year ended in a comprehensive 4-0 win for BUL football club
The Eastern Giants will enter the contest off the back of a 2-0 win over Wakiso Giants last Saturday while Arua Hill suffered a 3-1 away defeat to Vipers SC on the same afternoon.
BUL are feeling desperate to stretch their winning run and will potentially complete a double over their hosts.
To date, there have been eight wins, five draws and four losses for the Eastern Giants, and that is 29 points for Alex Isabirye’s side, just two behind third placed URA.
One point separate the two teams as the Leopards are sat in 6th place on 28 points after eight victories, four draws and five losses from 17 matches.
This clash will be the second meeting between the two teams and a win for BUL FC will see them climb to third position on the table.
Team News
The team will continue to do without Jerome Kirya and Hillary Onek because of injuries. The duo were withdrawn with fractures in our encounter with Vipers a week back.
A twenty – man player squad is already in Arua and everyone is ready to feature on Wednesday.
What they said:
Coach Richard Bakabulindi:
“We are here to compete. I believe we shall have a good show but putting in mind that Arua Hill is at home. Therefore, anything can happen but I believe in my team because everyone is fine, though we left two players in Jinja with injuries but we have suitable replacements for them.”
Richard Ayiko:
“I believe we are prepared enough. We thank our coaches and we promise our fans in Jinja and those in Arua that we will not disappoint you. Please be behind us because we are going to give our very best in the game and we hope we shall perform well.”
