The 21-year-old returns to the Sir Tom Finney Stadium after spending the last two years with the Barclays FA Women’s Super League club. Hornby was a regular for Manchester United’s WSL Academy side while she was an unused substitute for the senior team as they won 5-2 at Birmingham City last season.
Hornby will now get the opportunity to get a taste of senior football with Blackburn Rovers. In her first spell, the youngster featured for the development team but she will now link-up with the Lancashire club’s first team as they prepare for the new FA Women’s Championship season.
After completing her Blackburn Rovers return, Hornby said “I’m very happy to be signing back here with Rovers.
“When I was last here it was a club that had big goals and coming back here, I can see it now has even bigger goals and I’m glad to be a part of it.”
Hornby becomes the fourth summer arrival at Blackburn Rovers. She joins Chloe Dixon, Hannah Coan and Mia Parry in moving to the Sir Tom Finney Stadium in the current transfer window.
