Manchester City are said to be unwilling to meet the wage demands of Juventus striker Cristiano Ronaldo, making an agreement with the player difficult.

Sportmediaset claim today that Manchester City are the only club who have negotiated with Jorge Mendes for Ronaldo but a deal is complicated, especially because of the time left in the transfer market.

That isn’t the only reason though, as Juve want €30 million to part ways with Ronaldo and even though Man City do have the money, they aren’t really looking to meet that asking price yet.

Secondly, Ronaldo earns €57.3 million per year at the Bianconeri and City aren’t looking to meet that wage demand in any way. On top of that, Ronaldo would also lose some tax benefits that he gets in Italy.

Max Allegri sees Gabriel Jesus as a potential replacement for Ronaldo, but City don’t want to let the Brazilian leave. Regardless, Mendes is working hard to make a deal possible and while a deal is difficult, it isn’t impossible.
