Vlahovic, who had earlier ruled out his offered deal from the club is soon set to be out of contract. With the summer transfer spicing up, City are aware and deemed to be a certain favorite to cut a deal with the Serbian.
With all big EPL clubs already hot on his trail, the Cityzens have also joined the negotiation table in the hope to pursue his signature.

The striker, so far with his exceptional style of play, has found the back of the net 13 times in 16 appearances for the 2021/22 season. Carrying such impressive numbers, it’s no surprise to see Europe’s top clubs in for him, including Pep and City.
The signing of Dusan Vlahovic aims to fill the number 9 void at Manchester City?
According to La Repubblica, City is eager to get their hands on this signing in a hope to fulfill the number 9 gap in the squad ever since the departure of Sergio Aguero to the Camp Nou.
Pep Guardiola wants to bring the Serie A top scorer to the Premier League. The Viola president Commisso asks for 50 million: if he is satisfied, he will let the Serbian striker leave and try to replace him with the Sassuolo center-forward: a company from which he also wants to take the winger Mancini’s national team, who asked for the sale.
Also with the failed Harry Kane swap, the Citizens are feeling confident than any other club in signing the Serie A player – who now peaks Pep Guardiola’s list of in-demand strikers.
Several reports also hint of the English champions holding “preliminary talks” with Fiorentina – who are set to offer £50m to prize their young talent to the Etihad stadium. However, bids can rocket towards £70m too.
The Top Flight has been following the Dušan Vlahović situation since the summer when it first came apparent that he was not going to extend his stay at the Artemio Franchi and a move to a big club became the striker’s biggest priority.
Back then, it was believed the same two English clubs will go head-to-head but then the story took a twist, and Tottenham were considered the front runners at first and have been the team heavy in discussion with the player.
Now it’s taken another turn and TTF expects it to take yet another turn, making this one of the biggest transfers to look out for now January, or during the summer.
