Mamelodi Sundowns win PSL Q2 prize money worth R1.5 million!

Mamelodi Sundowns have won their second successive Q-Innovation prize money following their impressive run over seven league games.

On Wednesday, the PSL announced Sundowns as the winners of Q-2 after finishing top of the DStv Premiership log after seven matches.

As a result, Sundowns bagged another R1.5 million in prize money for their effort, beating the likes of Marumo Gallants, Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates who all finished below them.

HOW MAMELODI SUNDOWNS WON Q2 INNOVATION

Sundowns did not do as well as they did in the first quarter but they did just enough to top the standings from the seven games.

The Tshwane giants recorded four wins and three draws from their matches, and collected 15 points in total.

Sundowns scored a whopping 13 goals in the process while conceding just five with a goal difference of +8.

Marumo Gallants came the closest to catching Sundowns as they accumulated 14 points from the seven games played with four wins, two draws and a single loss.

Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates finished the second quarter in third and fourth places with 13 and 12 points respectively.
