12 May 2022 – Mamelodi Sundowns Ladies, the reigning champions of the Hollywoodbets Super League, continued their rich vein of form in week 4 of the new season after they hammered newly promoted City Lads Ladies 8-0 at the Lucas Moripe Stadium on Wednesday, 11 May 2022.
In other matches played in the midweek, the Tshwane University of Technology played to a goalless draw against Bloemfontein Celtic Ladies just days after their impressive display in the varsity derby against the University of the Western Cape this past weekend.
UWC got their groove back after the setback against Tshwane University of Technology when they beat Thunderbirds Ladies 1-0 in East London.
The University of Johannesburg travelled to the Free State and earned a 2-1 victory over Tsunami Queens, while Richmond United managed a 4-1 win over CR Vasco Da Gama in De Aar, Northern Cape.
Ma-Indies Ladies made full use of their home ground advantage as they put away two goals past Coal City Wizards in in a 2-0 win in Giyani, while First Touch Academy failed to take advantage of bottom-of-the-log Golden Ladies as they shared the spoiled in a goalless draw in Mahikeng.
Drama preceded the match between Durban Ladies and JVW Ladies when the game failed to start at 18h30 as scheduled at Sturrock Park due to the late arrival of match officials. Play eventually got underway at 19h30 and JVW Ladies walked away with all the points with a 3-0 win over the KwaZulu-Natal visitors.
