L’Équipe report tonight that Lyon have reached an agreement with Liverpool to sign Swiss international Xherdan Shaqiri on a permanent deal.
Although The Times have reported the fee to be at €11m, L’Équipe claim that the initial sum is closer to €6m – €2m more than Lyon’s first offer – nevertheless, the add-ons involved in the transfer would take it closer to €11m.
The 29-year-old leaves Liverpool after three seasons, in which he has won a Premier League as well as a Champions League title.
