Liverpool have reportedly already started their summer transfer shopping having apparently submitted a bid for Torino utility man Wilfried Singo.
According to TuttoSport, the Reds have lodged a €17million offer for the Ivorian defender, an offer that has consequently since been knocked back by the Serie A outfit.
However, the 20-year-old seems like a potentially brilliant addition for the Reds so they should not hesitate in returning with a greater fee.
Whilst having only enjoyed his breakout season throughout the 2020/21 campaign, Singo has turned in some excellent displays.

Capable of playing at centre-back and right-back, as well as further forward on the right-flank, the youngster’s versatility has come in extremely handy for Torino boss Davide Nicola.
He has so far made 23 appearances in all competitions, scoring one goal and notching three assists.
His all-around ability would be a handy asset at Anfield, with Reds needing a centre-back in the summer should Ozan Kabak’s loan deal not be made permanent, and Trent Alexander-Arnold needing considerable competition for the right-back berth.
Surprisingly, the young Ivorian is matching the current Reds’ defender, with Alexander-Arnold producing marginally more tackles this season per game according to WhoScored, whilst Singo contributes more interceptions, clearances, blocks and the same amount of dribbles.
Singo’s versatility could also see him rival even James Milner on Merseyside. The Englishman has deputised in a number of different positions, including central midfield, left-back, right-back and out wide since his arrival from Manchester City.
Of course, the arrival of Singo would not be as cost-effective as Milner’s own free transfer switch, or even his own valuation of £5.4m, after the Reds had a far bigger bid rejected.
However, considering his potential, Michael Edwards should not hesitate in increasing that offer, thus edging the Reds closer to their first signing of the summer transfer window.
