Jurgen Klopp’s transfer window success is second to very few in the Premier League.
Whether it’s his big gleaming smile, his enwrapping hugs or the positivity he instills in all players and staff, new transfers always seem to hit the ground running the second they arrive at Anfield.
While the aforementioned could be minor factors involved in the strong performances of the overwhelming majority of Liverpool’s new signings, their success can also be attributed to the so called “transfer committee” who spend hours upon hours of their time scouting all of the world’s top divisions.
Last season’s transfer of Wolves’ Diogo Jota for £41 million raised many eyebrows, with many in the football world believing Liverpool had overpaid significantly for the Portuguese star.
However, his debut season was fantastic as he scored 13 goals in 30 appearances for the Reds.
Now, according to Football Insider, Liverpool have enquired about adding Jota’s former Wolves colleague Adama Traore to their attacking lineup.
It’s believed contract talks with the Spain international have broken down and the Molineux club are open to offers for Traore.
Klopp is a huge fan of lightning fast wide players who can dribble and drive with the ball – all things which fits the description of the 25-year-old.
Traore can play as a left winger, a right winger, a centre-forward and even as a right back if needed.
For the last four seasons Klopp has relied on the trio of Mohamed Salah, Roberto Firmino and Sadio Mane to drive the team to victories, however it appears he is looking to freshen up and add greater depth to his attacking options.
