Paris Saint-Germain manager Mauricio Pochettino has today confirmed in his press conference that Lionel Messi will miss tomorrow’s trip to Bordeaux through injury.
The club has indicated in today’s medical report that the Argentine is undergoing treatment for knee pain and for a hamstring issue, having already missed the midweek Champions League match against Leipzig.
Messi was taken off at half-time in PSG’s win against Lille last Friday, having picked up the issue the day before, but has nevertheless been called up to the Argentina squad for the upcoming international break. Pochettino has indicated that his compatriot will fly out to join the Albiceleste, and assessments will be made over his availability to play.
