For the past week, the sporting world has been occupied with one man: Lionel Messi. After he signed a 2 year deal with PSG, the french giants announced they would pay him partly in cryptocurrency which drew the attention of Tom Brady.
Lionel Messi’s departure from FC Barcelona has been a shock, to say the least. He joined the Catalan club when he was 13, and during his time there, he won countless trophies and in the eyes of many football fans, cemented his legacy as the greatest to ever do it.
His time at Barca came to an abrupt end, though. The club’s crippling financial situation meant that even if the Argentine took a massive pay-cut, they still wouldn’t have been able to register him for the upcoming La Liga season.
Soon after his tearful press conference where he said goodbye to his boyhood club, he got on a flight to Paris to ink a deal with PSG, becoming the final and most important piece of a dangerously strong squad.
Paris Saint-Germain, one of the richest clubs in the world, announced that part of Messi’s “welcome package” would include their own cryptocurrency called “$PSG Fan Tokens.”

Tom Brady Sends Message to Lionel Messi About Crypto Payment News
Buccaneers’ QB Tom Brady, who has recently been getting involved in crypto, offered his help to Messi after the news broke – advice from one “GOAT” to another.
On his Instagram story today, he wrote “Leo Messi let me know if you need any photoshop help for laser eyes!”. It was obviously a joke, referring to Brady’s experience with cryptocurrency and his Twitter profile picture.
Alright the laser eyes didn’t work. Anyone have any ideas? https://t.co/43WyShRxr2
