Many Leeds United supporters have been left fearing the worst after central defender Diego Llorente received a call-up into the Spanish national team.
The 28-year-old has put together a fairly strong run of form of late, starting in Leeds’ last five Premier League matches – winning two, drawing two, and losing one.
Evidently, his performances have been enough to earn him a spot in the Spain squad for the current international break, where he will hope to add to his eight caps.
Is Diego Llorente Leeds best defender?
Yes
No
Despite the good personal news for Llorente, it apparently has plenty of his fans at club level concerned about how the extra football could impact upon him.
The club’s official Twitter account shared the announcement online and many supporters have been left fearing a future injury to the Spaniard.
Here’s what these Leeds fans said…
“Won’t see him fit again till February, then.”
“Nooooooooooooooooooooo.”
“Nailed on injured after.”
“No doubt he’ll come back injured.”
“Just come back fit and uninjured!”
“Incoming long term injury.”
