AC Milan have shown interest in signing Luis Alberto from Lazio in the approaching summer transfer window.

According to a report from La Gazzetta dello Sport, Lazio are considering offloading Luis Alberto next summer in an attempt to keep hold of Sergej Milinković-Savić.

Alberto, 29, has emerged as a key element in Lazio’s midfield under the stewardship of Maurizio Sarri this season. But losing Milinković-Savić, who has many admirers, including Juventus and Manchester United, in the market, is thought to be costlier for the Sarri’s men than holding onto Alberto’s services.

The report believes that the Biancocelesti need to make a sacrifice if they want to keep the Serbian beyond the summer. And the Rome-based club is thus pondering upon putting the Spaniard’s name on the transfer list.

AC Milan is thought to be an interested party for Alberto next summer. The Eagles are looking for a transfer fee of around €30-35million for the proven midfielder, who is bound to Lazio’s contract until June 2025.
