Lazio manager Maurizio Sarri is set to take referee Daniele Chiffi to court even though the club’s appeal to remove the manager’s ban was rejected.

This comes from Corriere dello Sport, who claim that as the appeal from the Biancocelesti to remove Sarri’s touchline ban was rejected, the Italian will now take the case up independently. Sarri intends to take Chiffi to court, probably with a lawsuit for alleged defamation.

To do this, he needs to seek special permission and he will the FIGC for it in the next few hours. While it is not easy to get this permission, Sarri is trying his best to do it.

The Italian was sent off by Chiffi after Lazio’s loss to Milan and he was not on the touchline for the club’s recent game against Cagliari.
