Juventus welcome Genoa to the Allianz Stadium on Sunday as they look to begin their climb up the Serie A table.
The Old Lady have lost on five separate ocassions already this season and, more surprisingly, have been defeated in two out of their last three home league fixtures.
Progression to the knockout stages of the Champions League was secured last month, but Allegri will be keen to address his side’s disappointing league form heading into the winter break.
Here’s how Juventus could line up to get things back on track domestically.
Wojciech Szczesny (GK) – Has regained his confidence and form after a shaky start to the campaign.
Juan Cuadrado (RB) – Filled in at full back because of the absence of Danilo in midweek and could do so again this weekend.
Leonardo Bonucci (CB) – Rested for the clash with Salernitana in Serie A as Juve eased to victory.
Matthis de Ligt (CB) – The Dutchman put in an assured display last time out, but he needs to cut the lapses in concentration out of his game.
Alex Sandro (LB) – Another player who sat out of the midweek triumph and is likely to return for Sunday.
Dejan Kulusevski (RM) – Grabbed an assist in midweek and the Swede will be hoping it’s the beginning of a run in the side.
Manuel Locatelli (CM) – Has showed his class in spells since arriving from Sassuolo and looks to be Juventus’ most talented all-around midfielder.
Rodrigo Bentancur (CM) – Knits the Juventus midfield together, while he’s also capable of playing through opposition pressure.
Federico Bernardeschi (LM) – Hasn’t always endeared himself to the Juve faithful thanks to some ineffective displays, but at least it’s not Adrien Rabiot whacked out on the left.
Paulo Dybala (ST) – Juve’s talisman added another goal to his collection last time out and will pose a huge threat.
Alvaro Morata (ST) – Impacted the game off the bench in midweek and Allegri will hope he can do similar from the off this time around.
