It has been more than 24 hours, but the wrongdoing of VAR in Juventus‘ home fixture against Salernitana continues to be under the spotlight.

According to what is reported by La Gazzetta dello Sport, Juventus and their players are internally “angered” at how the match-winning goal from Arkadiusz Milik got incorrectly chalked off with the help of the video assistant referee against Salernitana on Sunday evening.

Following the game, fresh visuals from Sky Sport Italia displayed that Antonio Candreva was playing the whole Juventus backline onside.

But the Italian Referees Association, in an official statement, stated that those particular images were not available to the VAR at the moment of making the decision.

Thus, Leonardo Bonucci, who had played an active role in the sequence leading to the goal, was deemed offside, and the Juve winner got cancelled. Since the incident, there has been no official statement from Bianconeri. But the report suggests that perplexity persists among the players, with Leonardo Bonucci, Arek Milik and Juan Cuadrado voicing their dissatisfaction on social media.
