Jota is revelling in the pressure at Celtic as his team target a win in their upcoming match against Ferencvaros.
The Parkhead side are bottom of their Europa League group after their first two matches.
It’s a situation that means their game against the Hungarian outfit is do-or-die – a realisation that is not lost on Jota.
The Portuguese winger added to his goals against Raith Rovers and Aberdeen with the opener in their win against Motherwell yesterday.
But rather than bask in the moment of the goal, his attention turned immediately to Tuesday afternoon’s game.
He said: “These games against Ferencvaros are very important.
“We want to deliver a victory at home in front of our fans, our family.
“We’re ready to play in the morning, afternoon or the evening. Just put us on the pitch and we’ll do our thing. It doesn’t matter about the time.
“We know the fans want us to deliver results but that’s good pressure to have. We must go into games with a winning mentality.”
Jota scored the winner at Pittodrie two weeks ago, which he revealed is a moment that he won’t forget.
His parents were there with the travelling Hoops fans and Jota said he wants to relive such moments “many more times”.
He added: “It was crazy when I scored. The cheers from fans was unbelievable.
“I hope that we can live those moments together many more times. I still have a lot to bring to my game.
“I’m working hard every day, being humble and staying close to my team-mates and staff.
“I’m aiming to be the best version of myself that I can be.”
