Iwobi Scores In Everton’s Away Loss To Wolves

Alex Iwobi’s goal was not enough as Everton lost 2-1 to Wolverhampton Wanderers, in Monday night’s Premier League game.

It is Iwobi’s first Premier League goal this season and his second goal in all competitions.

The last time Iwobi scored was on August 24, in a 2-1 win at Huddersfield in the Carabao Cup.

For Rafa Benitez’s side , they have now lost their last three Premier League games.

Wolves took the lead in the 27th minute through Max Kilman who got away from Madrid Townsend and headed down and into the far corner.

In the 32nd minute Wolves doubled their lead this time off Raul Jimenez who reacted quickest to a poor back pass by Ben Godfrey and neatly chipped it over Jordan Pickford.

After some sustained possession, Everton were rewarded thanks to Iwobi whose first time shot beat Wolves keeper.

The win saw Wolves climb to seventh on 16 points while Everton occupy 10th on 14 points.
