Manuel Locatelli, a star of the Italian national team at Euro 2020, has reportedly made Juventus is destination of choice, despite Arsenal seemingly leading the race for his signature – according to the Metro.
The Sassuolo midfielder is waiting for Juventus to come to terms on a deal, preferring to stay in Italy and make a title-charge with the Turin club, as well as Champions League football.
The report also names Borussia Dortmund as potential suitors for Manuel Locatelli, who has scored twice in the Euros on route the quarter-finals.
€40 million is said to the ‘magic number’ to trigger talks and Arsenal have made a bid and it’s been confirmed as such as being an ‘important’ offer by the Sassuolo chief executive, Giovanni Carnevali.
However, he has confirmed a meeting scheduled with Juventus, leaving Arsenal’s hopes hanging by a thread if there’s a desire from Locatelli, as is reported.
