EFF daily update, Tuesday July 6th
Euro 2020 returns to our screens on Tuesday evening as the semi-final clashes begin to get underway.
The first and only tie taking place on Tuesday pits Italy against Spain at Wembley.
Italy head into the clash having proven themselves to be one of the most dominant sides at the tournament with Roberto Mancini’s side parring a solid defensive base with some eye-catching football.
Spain, meanwhile, have been slightly less impressive. Luis Enrique’s side had a fairly slow start to the competition which saw them struggling to score goals.
La Roja would then put five past both Slovakia and Croatia, but had to go all the way to penalties to see off Switzerland in the quarter-finals, perhaps meaning they will be less fresh than Italy for Tuesday’s game.
Injury news
Italy: Italy were dealt a huge injury blow in their previous Euro 2020 outing.
Leonardo Spinazzola would be stretchered off vs Belgium, with it since having being confirmed that the left-back, who won the hearts of neutrals this summer with his marauding attacking runs from deep, has ruptured his Achilles and is now unlikely to play football again this year:

Alessandro Florenzi has missed a number of games this summer but is pushing to return this week. However, given it is not currently confirmed if he will start, it is probably best you chose another Italian defender for your side.
Spain: Pablo Sarabia picked up an issue in Spain’s win over Switzerland in the quarter-finals.
The winger is said to be having an MRI scan and will be assessed. However, given the situation it is probably best you avoid him this week.
Ahead of the SF against Italy. Sarabia is being assessed and will have an MRI due to the adductor problem with forced him off on Friday. Laporte given extra time to recover. The City centre-back is the only #ESP outfield player to have played every minute. #EURO2020

Top three players to pick: Immobile, Insigne, Barella
Ciro Immobile, Italy (10.2m)
With just two teams in action on Tuesday, there are not an awful lot of options to pick from.
And with the limited transfers many people will have left ahead of the final, you cannot really afford to be picking multiple players from all four semi-final sides.
So, you best option is likely going to be to pick a lot of players from the two teams you believe will reach the final. Of course, this could backfire and you could be left with hardly any players for the final.
But on Tuesday, Italy beating Spain does seem like the more realistic option. Therefore, picking a lot of Italian stars this week is probably the best bet.
And, up top, there is no better option than Ciro Immobile who is currently the 2nd highest-scoring forward left in the competition behind only Harry Kane.
Lorenzo Insigne, Italy (8.6m)
Lorenzo Insigne, like Immobile, is a nailed-on starter for Italy this week.
The winger is the 3rd best midfield option left on EFF behind Raheem Sterling and the potentially injured Pablo Sarabia.
Nicolo Barella, Italy (7.3m)
The final player you should look to sign this week is Nicolo Barella.
Despite playing as a central midfielder, Barella often joins the Italy attack, with his penetrating runs and quality passing a real issue for opposition defences.
Barella has helped Italy keep three clean sheets this summer whilst also scoring one and providing one assist.
Captain of the day: Ciro Immobile, Italy
Given he is the focal point of Italy’s attack, Ciro Immobile should be a decent captain choice on Tuesday.
