February 19, 2022 – Major League Soccer (MLS) – Inter Miami CF News Release
Inter Miami CF today introduced The Heartbeat Kit, the team’s new primary jersey for the 2022 and 2023 MLS campaigns. Inspired by and designed for the fans of Inter Miami CF – the true heartbeat of the team – the kit is the first all-pink jersey for the club.
On the cuff of the jersey sleeves and on the jock tag, the fans are represented by an M-shaped line embossed into the fabric. Illustrating how the fans are the heartbeat of the club, the M is designed like a line from an electrocardiogram (EKG).
“The perfect way to launch the 2022 MLS season is to unveil our kit in honor of La Familia and the tremendous support our fans give us every day,” said Inter Miami CF CEO and Managing Owner Jorge Mas. “Every detail of our club’s primary jersey for the next two seasons is a testament to our gratitude for the supporters – the heartbeat of Inter Miami CF.”
In an additional design touch reflecting the true spirit between the club and its supporters, there is an inscription on the back of the neck of jersey that reads “Libertad Para Soñar” (Freedom to Dream). The design and font utilized are from a tattoo of IMFC Owner and President of Soccer Operations David Beckham. The words were originally scripted in the handwriting of Beckham’s close friend – the global superstar singer, songwriter, recording executive and actor Mark Anthony.
“This jersey represents our fans who are the heartbeat of the club,” added Owner and President of Soccer Operations, David Beckham. “It is an expression of our love for the city of Miami and our incredible supporters, and it is extra special to me because it features my Freedom to Dream tattoo beneath the collar.”
After debuting in September 2021, XBTO, the prominent global cryptofinance firm remains Inter Miami CF’s jersey front partner. The partnership marked the first in Major League Soccer in the crypto category. This 2022 season will be the first with XMANNA on the sleeve. XMANNA is a leading software technology company and the club’s Official Loyalty and Gamification Partner.
