Gregg Berhalter made another change to the ongoing USMNT camp as some players have departed and most of the core has joined. This latest roster will take the team up through the Jamaica friendly on Wednesday before the final Gold Cup roster being named on Thursday.

UNITED STATES national team manager Gregg Berhalter named a 28-player roster for the upcoming friendly against Jamaica on June 5 in Washington DC. The final Gold Cup roster is due following that game and will be announced on June 6.
The roster contains most of the top players who are expected to feature at the Gold Cup with the exception of Tyler Adams and Christian Pulisic. Those two players are expected to be added to the Gold Cup roster. Club Brugge goalkeeper Ethan Horvath was not named to this team due to a finger injury.
Players who are on the initial 40 player provisional roster can be named to the Gold Cup.
One notable inclusion into the roster for the Jamaica game is Jackson Yueill. Yueill cannot be named to the Gold Cup team since he wasn’t part of the provisional roster but his inclusion is significant in that it shows that Yueill’s fine season is not going unnoticed. Yueill is also eligible for the U-23 team and should be a big part of that team.
Winger Tyler Boyd and attacking midfielder Duane Holmes both made the roster despite neither having represented the United States before at any age level. Boyd recently filed for a change of association switch to leave New Zealand’s program and represent the United States.
Forward Jozy Altidore is among 10 players on the roster who will be joining the squad for the first time under Berhalter.
