Zlatan Ibrahimovic is being considered for a contract extension by AC Milan, despite the Swedish striker’s age.
Ibrahimovic, 40, joined the Rossoneri in January 2020 from LA Galaxy on a free transfer, in a move that could have been seen as questionable due to his age and taking the step back to top-flight European football in Serie A.
However, the forward has scored 28 times in 43 games since the move and, according to La Gazzetta dello Sport, has put himself in line for a renewal that’ll see him stay at the club until 2023.
The age of the forward is the only sticking point, with club officials apparently questioning the player’s longevity.
Again though, as long as Ibrahimovic continues at the level he is then the deal could be tied up by next January or February.
