Pjanic speaks out after joining Besiktas
It is safe to say that Miralem Pjanic’s Barcelona career did not go the way he hoped it would. The Bosnian midfielder joined the club from Juventus last season, but could not make his way into the Spanish side’s first team, making just 6 La Liga starts, and a total of 19 appearances in the Spanish top flight.
This, combined with Barcelona’s well documented financial problems, meant that Pjanic and Barca decided to part ways this summer, with the veteran joining Besiktas on a loan deal for the upcoming season.

Pjanic did not leave without having his say first, however. In an exclusive interview with Spanish outlet Marca, the former Juventus man lifted the lid on the manager Ronald Koeman, saying:
There was a person who was never going to change. He’s the coach. There was a lack of respect for the club, for those who didn’t play after training well. The coach was never there to see the attitude of the players who didn’t play.
It’s the first time I’ve seen that.
How can a player be motivated to show he’s there when the coach isn’t there to see the attitude or how he trains? It was one of the worst things I’ve seen, a huge lack of respect and it wasn’t easy for those of us not playing. Now I’ve found a solution to play and I’m happy.”
Perhaps most crucially, he hinted at a wider discontent in the camp, revealing that
“I wasn’t alone. You can look closely and see there were others. I don’t want to talk about them, they can talk if they want to.”
It remains to be seen just who else comes forward on the matter.
Oumar Niasse reveals Everton woes
Miralem Pjanic is not the first to complain about the coaching of Koeman. At former club, Everton, forward Oumar Niasse complained about his terrible man-management skills, revealing:
“He told me “I didn’t want you, you are not good that’s all” and he took my stuff out of the first team dressing room, he sent me to play with the U21’s, but even with the U21’s I didn’t have a locker. He was difficult.”
I will forever love Niasse (and hate Koeman) for this. pic.twitter.com/ZIiTZPi8Mp

Will more players come out to hold Koeman to account for his actions?
