Ghana’s Kamaldeen Sulemana rated behind Salah as 2nd most in-form player in Europe

The ratings, which were compiled by stats portal WhoScored.com, took into consideration the last six matches of each player.

Kamaldeen finds himself ahead of the likes of Karim Benzema, Robert Lewandowski and Mateo Kovacic, who are third, fourth and fifth, respectively.

The 19-year-old has been a revelation in the French topflight, with his goals and assists propelling Rennes to fifth on the Ligue 1 table.

Last week, the Ghanaian winger scored a sensational goal as Rennes recorded an emphatic 3-0 win over Metz.

The teenager received the ball just outside the penalty box on the right flank, dummied his marker to create space, nutmegged him and scored with the outside of his foot.

The goal against Metz was Kamaldeen’s fourth of the season since joining the Ligue 1 side in the summer.

Before the international break, he was the toast of many fans after starring against league favourites Paris Saint-Germain.

He outshined Lionel Messi, Neymar and Kylian Mbappe as Rennes recorded an impressive 2-0 win over Mauricio Pochettino’s side.

Kamaldeen joined Rennes from Nordsjaelland in July, making him the most expensive Ghanaian teenage footballer.

His €21 million (€15 million upfront and $5 million in bonuses) transfer fee also makes him the second most expensive African teenager.
