Frank de Boer has revealed that Flamengo hero Gabigol was called ‘Gabi-no-gol’ at Inter Milan.

The forward scored two last-gasp goals to secure victory for Flamengo over River Plate in the Copa Libertadores final at the weekend. 

Gabigol is currently on loan at the Brazilian outfit from Inter and his former manager has disclosed the 23-year-old’s nickname in Italy.

‘I didn’t know much about him, but they told me he was a fantastic player,’ De Boer told FOX Sports, as reported by Marca.

‘They call him Gabigol but we called him Gabi-no-gol.’

Gabigol has netted one goal in 10 appearances for Inter while he has scored 31 in 38 matches for Flamengo.
