Sandy, Utah – FC Dallas (6-10-7, 25 points) fell 2-3 to Real Salt Lake (8-8-6, 30 points) at Rio Tinto Stadium on Saturday night.

Game Summary

First Half:

19′ – GOAL (DAL) – Jesús Ferreira linked with Franco Jara inside the box who turned and poked the ball into the back of the net to give FC Dallas the 1-0 lead.


28′ – SAVE (DAL) – Damir Kreilach’s header from the center of the box was handled by Phelipe, following a cross from Noah Powder.

34′ – SHOT (DAL) – Ferreira’s cross from the left wing fell to Jara whose first-time shot went wide over the goal.

42′ – GOAL (RSL) – Justen Glad headed Aaron Herrera’s cross from close range to level the match up.

Second Half

54′ – GOAL (RSL) – Phelipe saved Noah Powder’s deflected shot, but the rebound opportunity fell to Jonathan Menéndez who slotted it into the net to give Real Salt Lake the 2-1 lead.

70 – SHOT (DAL) – Edwin Cerrillo let a shot go from long range that flew over the goal for a goal kick.

72′ – GOAL (RSL) – Jonathan Menéndez laid the ball off to Albert Rusnák whose power shot from the edge of the box managed to get past Phelipe and extend Real Salt Lake’s lead to 3-1.

80′ – GOAL (DAL) – Jesús Ferreira dribbled his way into the box and beat two defenders in the process before slamming the ball into the roof of the net to pull one back and make it 3-2.
