Soon–to-be Manchester United boss Erik Ten Hag could bring one of his current players with him when he moves from Ajax to England this summer.
As per The Sun, the Dutchman may be tempted to make an offer for Sebastien Haller when he arrived in England.
The ex-West Ham striker has been prolific since making the move to the Eredivisie, scoring 46 goals in 62 games, as well as providing 16 assists.
The Ivorian has established himself as one of Europe’s most prolific goal scorers this term, and boasts a remarkable record in the Champions League, scoring 11 goals in 8 matches.
Haller’s form has helped propel Ten Hag’s side to the summit of the Dutch top flight, and it appears that the 52-year-old is considering taking his striker with him to Manchester.
The Ajax boss will have a healthy budget to work with when he arrives in England, and a midfielder and striker are top of his shopping list when he does take charge of the Red Devils.
Haller’s first spell in England was with the Hammers, but only lasted 18 months.
Having arrived from German side Eintracht Frankfurt in the summer of 2019 for a club record fee of £45 million, Haller scored 14 goals in 54 games for the club before joining Ajax for just over £20 million in January 2021.
The striker has been prolific in the Netherlands, though, scoring 31 goals this season, and his affordable price tag may tempt Ten Hag to make an offer.
The report claims that the 27-year-old will be available for around £35 million, a fee that would give Ajax a decent profit on a player that they signed just over 12 months ago.
