A former Kaizer Chiefs and Mamelodi Sundowns defender and current Bafana Bafana international is currently weighing up his options abroad.

Siyanda Xulu has entered the final six months of his contract with Israeli outfit Hapoel Tel Aviv, and while talks are ongoing, the defender star is open to new opportunities.
According to Xulu’s agent Paul Mitchell, Tel Aviv are keen on extending the contract of the Bafana Bafana international.

And that’s simply because he has hardly disappointed since joining them 18 months ago, and more over, the club fans like him as a player.

“He is in his last six months. He is probably their best player, plays every game and is a fan favourite. So obviously there is the intention to extend him,” Mitchell told TimesLIVE.
“Talks are ongoing, but obviously at the same time he is open to other projects. We are in a good position,” added Mitchell.

Xulu joined Tel Aviv from Maritzburg United where he really impressed on the back of a difficult spell he had with Chiefs.
Upon his return from Russia with FC Rostov, Xulu had a promising career ahead of him at Chiefs but things didn’t go according to plan.

Xulu often found himself out of the Chiefs team that was coached by Steve Komphela at the time – and that led to his departure from Naturena.
