The 23-year-old has been on the Merseyside club’s books since she was just nine years of age and she will now move into her 15th year as an Everton player.
Finnigan featured in every Barclays FA Women’s Super League fixture for Everton last season, scoring goals against Bristol City and Arsenal. She was one of just four Everton players to play in every game last term.
After signing her new deal, Finnigan said “This will be my 15th year with the Club, it’s all I have ever known. Everton is home for me. I have got a love for the Club so I couldn’t think of anything better than to extend my time with Everton
“I have developed a lot over the past couple of seasons, particular since Willie (Kirk) has come in. I have more to improve on and I feel Everton is the best place for myself to achieve that.”
Finnigan becomes the first Everton player to sign a new deal during the close season. Izzy Christiansen, Sandy MacIver, Lucy Graham and Grace Clinton all signed new deals with the club during the first half of 2021.
