Erling Haaland has hinted he is ready stay at Borussia Dortmund for at least another season.
Chelsea, Manchester City, Manchester United and Real Madrid are all reported to be eyeing a move for £150million-rated striker.
But it appears he is no hurry to leave Dortmund, after they won the German Cup and secured Champions League qualification for another year, as he insisted he will be ‘respectful’ to his contract.
Haaland is under contract at Dortmund until 2024 but is understood to have a €75million (£66m) release clause which comes into effect in 2022.
In an interview with Norwegian broadcaster NENT, Haaland said when quizzed on his future: “Well, I have a contract for a couple more years, so I am respectful towards my contract.
“Like I have said before, I am a big fan of the Champions League – and I think everybody knows that. It was a relief to secure that spot. It was really important.
“I am a simple guy. When I like something I just want to have more. Like I have said before, when I score a goal, I always chase the next goal. I have big dreams.
“I just won my first major trophy and it was a great feeling, so I want to win trophies.”
The admission from Haaland, who has scored 40 goals in 43 Bundesliga appearances since joining Dortmund in December 2019, could disappoint a string of clubs.
Man United have been linked with a move for the 20-year-old, who played under boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer at Molde.
Chelsea have also been tipped to launch a big-money bid when the transfer window reopens, while Spanish giants Real Madrid are keen although financial fears may rule them out.
Man City are among those likely to be in the market for a striker too as Sergio Aguero will end his 10-year spell at the Etihad when his contract expires next month.
And talkSPORT’s Ally McCoist believes only Haaland or Tottenham’s Harry Kane are capable of replacing Aguero.
He said: “What a goalscorer, what a finisher. One of the best of all time, without doubt.
“So how do you replace him? The only way you do that is by getting Harry Kane or Erling Haaland. Somebody like that who’s an out-and-out goalscorer.
“I still think looking at that team, Aguero comes off the bench and scores two, Jesus scored one yesterday.
“If you had an out-and-out centre forward, dear me, it would be a dream to play in that team. You’d be guaranteed 25-30 goals a season.”
