SAN JOSE, Calif. – The San Jose Earthquakes (5-7-8; 23 pts.) face the rival LA Galaxy (11-7-2; 35 pts.) at Dignity Health Sports Park tonight at 7:30 p.m. PT. The California Clasico will be broadcast live on ESPN2, ESPN Deportes, KNBR 1050 and 1370 KZSF.
San Jose is on a nine-match unbeaten streak, the longest active streak in Major League Soccer. It marks the Quakes’ longest such run since 2012. The Earthquakes hold a 2-2-1 record in their last five matches vs. the Galaxy.
The Galaxy are in third place in the Western Conference. LA is 3-1-1 in their last five matches despite scoring just one goal in each of their last four games. The Galaxy fell to the Colorado Rapids 2-1 at Dignity Health Sports Park on Tuesday night, snapping a four-match unbeaten streak. After tonight, LA will have played five of their last six matches at home.
