Derby County fans have been reacting to the latest news and rumours surrounding their football club.
This comes after The Athletic’s Ryan Conway tweeted that the club only have 14 players left contracted to the club, after the Rams endured an extremely difficult season in the Championship, both on and off the pitch.
This was picked up on by many Derby fans, who weren’t shy to let their feelings be known about the situation.
“Yep very worrying, we don’t even know if we can sign anyone due to EFL…no wonder we haven’t announced any friendlies yet, we can’t field a team!”

Judging by the responses, many Derby fans are worried about the future of the club after this news.
The Rams narrowly avoided relegation last year, finishing 21st after their draw on the final day of the season against Sheffield Wednesday was enough to keep them in the Championship and condemn the Owls to relegation.
There has been constant speculation throughout this last season surrounding the financial situation at Derby County and following the collapse of their takeover talks, this is yet more bad news for fans.
