Date, UK start time, confirmed team news and where to watch Unicef charity match as A-list celebs feature with Usain Bolt captaining World XI and Olly Murs leads England

Huge names from the sporting and entertainment world will be taking to the field in this year’s charity match as Soccer Aid 2021 is back this evening.

Singer and Soccer Aid regular, Olly Murs, will captain the England side opposite Olympic gold medallist and fan favourite Usain Bolt.

Bolt has often been linked with playing football professionally due to his speed and even played for Central Coast Mariners in 2018.

Ex-England manager Sven-Goran Eriksson will take the helm for England once again while former Tottenham boss Harry Redknapp will manage the World XI.

The 2020 edition saw the World XI win on penalties when YouTube sensation Chunkz, who features again this year, missed the deciding spot kick in sudden death.

The match itself last year saw Robbie Keane open the scoring before singer James Bay crossed the ball to England teammate Yung Filly to tap in the equaliser.

It also saw the record smashed as they raised £11m during the Soccer Aid match, the most in its history of the show and the money went towards helping children affected by coronavirus.

Chunkz will lineup in this year’s squad once again while Wayne Rooney will put the boots back on to feature in the team.
