Crystal Palace boosted at the back by returning Dane
Crystal Palace boss Patrick Vieira will count his lucky stars as he prepared his Eagles for an away day at Turf Moor against Burnley on Saturday after the squad has been boosted by the return of a key central figure in the backline.
Danish international Joachim Andersen was pictured in full training earlier today ahead of the weekend jaunt north of the capital after the summer signing was unable to participate on international duty during Denmark’s clashes with Faroe Islands (3-1 win) and Scotland (2-0 loss).

His appearance at the club’s Beckenham training ground – along with the returning Will Hughes – signifies a huge boost for Patrick Vieira as Crystal Palace looks to keep their good form alive after going on a six-match undefeated run in the Premier League.
Andersen still enjoying life in London
A summer signing that flew under most radars, Joachim Andersen has been one of the starring performers for a Crystal Palace side performing above expectations under Arsenal legend Patrick Vieira.
But Andersen was already decently established in London after a credible loan stint with Fulham last season. Though the Cottagers failed to avoid relegation once again, the FC Twente Enschede Academy graduate performed well during his loan stint away from French outfit Olympique Lyonnais.
There are some that feel as though Andersen has been an overlooked star for Palace this season, and there is certainly some evidence to back that opinion.
Since his full debut for the Eagles on matchday two in a 0-0 draw against Brentford (he came on as a substitute in a 33-minute cameo against Chelsea on matchday one), the Danish international has played in every single minute of Premier League action under Vieira, as well as completing 90-minutes in their only Carabao Cup fixture of the season.
Alongside fellow summer acquisition Marc Guehi from Chelsea, Andersen has proven a capable and competent Premier League center-back that – should Crystal Palace defy critics and finish in the top half of the table – will be owed a considerable amount of praise come the end of the season.
