Chicago Fire FC Academy Defender Aaron Deppe and Midfielder Celestino Vásquez Called into U-17 Men’s National Teams

CHICAGO – Chicago Fire FC today announced that Chicago Fire Academy U-17 defender Aaron Deppe and midfielder Celestino Vásquez have been called to the U.S. U-17 Men’s National Team and the Mexico U-17 Men’s National Team, respectively.


Deppe will join the U.S. U-17 MNT for a training camp in Chula Vista, Calif., from Nov. 1-8. The U.S. U-17 MNT returns to training for the first time since competing in the UEFA Development Tournament in February 2020. The Fire Academy defender will be playing under recently named head coach and former Fire defender Gonzalo Segares. It is the first U.S. YNT call-up for Deppe, who joined the Chicago Fire Academy in 2018.

Vásquez will head to the High Performance Center in Mexico City for a training camp from Oct. 30-Nov. 4. It’s the first Mexico Youth National Team call-up for Vásquez, who joined the Chicago Fire Academy in 2020. He will be training under Mexico U-17 head coach Raúl Chabrand.
