‘Break club record spend or look elsewhere’ Arsenal told

[ad_1]

Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal transfer plans are at a crossroads as it’s decision time in regards to their ambitions of signing top Serbian and Fiorentina striker Dusan Vlahovic.

It’s reported that Fiorentina are refusing to sell unless they receive all of the required £75million transfer fee upfront, that would mean Arsenal breaking their club transfer record, which currently stands at £72m for Nicolas Pepe.

A report in the Mirror claims that Arsenal want to spread the transfer fee in four instalments, but that’s not going to be anything Fiorentina want to accept while Dusan Vlahovic’s stock is as high as it is.

Arsenal spent over £160m in the summer, so another £75m all up-front may be hard for the club to accept, unless the club feel that risking their finances on possible Champions League football next season is worth the swoop now.

Dusan Vlahovic has 18 goals and three assists in 21 appearances for Serie A side Fiorentina
