BUENOS AIRES, Feb. 16 (Xinhua) — Colombian attacker Sebastian Villa scored twice as Boca Juniors secured a 2-1 win at Aldosivi in Argentina’s Primera Division on Wednesday.
The 25-year-old put the visitors ahead in the 16th minute by latching onto a Dario Benedetto through ball and calmly rounding goalkeeper Jose Devecchi before slotting into an unguarded net.
He doubled the lead just after halftime after skipping past his marker and firing a low shot into the far corner.
Martin Cauteruccio pulled a goal back for the hosts in second-half stoppage time but Boca held on to secure their first win of the season.
Meanwhile, reigning champions River Plate also clinched their first victory of the campaign by routing Patronato 4-1 at the Monumental stadium.
In Wednesday’s only other Primera Division fixture, Central Cordoba drew 1-1 at Tigre.
