Barcelona enter the race to sign Kylian Mbappé

L’Équipe report that Barcelona have entered the race to sign PSG forward Kylian Mbappé.

The La Liga side believe they can compete financially to produce an offer that Mbappé will consider.

With a recent €595 million loan from Goldman Sachs and €70 million a year deal from new sponsor Spotify, the Catalan club are confident of putting together a proposal for the France international, who can leave PSG on a free transfer at the end of the season.

Real Madrid have been the favourites to land the forward but the Camp Nou outfit are now considering the option, and Mbappé is reportedly willing to listen to their offer.

Barça want the 23-year-old to have a face-to-face chat with manager Xavi Hernández to outline his plans going forward.

According to L’Équipe, Mbappé has a deep respect for Barcelona and could sit down and listen to what is on offer. It is the same modus operandi he used in 2017, just before signing for PSG, after having met with Real Madrid and Liverpool.

Being able to sit down and listen to other teams is a sign that Mbappé has not yet made up his mind on his future, as the report points out.
