Arsenal want one of these three strikers to replace Lacazette

Arsenal are keen to make a big striker signing in 2022, be it in January or next summer and three names have become standout options as the Gunners continue to reshape.

Club Brugge’s Noa Lang, Aston Villa’s Ollie Watkins and Everton’s Dominic Calvert-Lewin are all on Mikel Arteta’s transfer watchlist, according to the Sun, with the likelihood of Alexandre Lacazette being sold in the new year.

The two Premier League goalscorers would certainly not come cheap, especially Calvert-Lewin who is contracted until 2025 and with Everton not short of cash, this would likely be the most difficult of potential transfers to complete.

Dutchman Noa Lang is the most interesting name reported. The 22-year-old has just four goals in 13 appearances for Belgian side Club Brugge.

Ollie Watkins meanwhile fits the profile of how Arteta wants his Arsenal side to play, but has never been prolific since moving to Aston Villa – the England international has just one goal to his name this campaign.
