Arsenal turn to ‘one-goal’ striker with Vlahovic transfer unlikely

Arsenal’s pursuit of Fiorentina striker Dusan Vlahovic appears to be lost cause if reports circulating are anything to go by – Juventus are now emerging as the favourites to sign the Serbian in the January transfer window.

The lure of more likely silverware and Champions League football is proving to be too good for Dusan Vlahovic to turn down and this has left the Gunners to scramble towards ‘plan B’, which appears to be a loan move for Real Madrid flop Luka Jovic.

Jovic has scored just one time this season for Real Madrid, but that is without a single 90 minute appearance in La Liga for the Spanish giants.

A report via Sky Sports states that it would only be short-term, end of the season deal, without any obligation to buy the 24-year-old.

Jovic was on fire during his time at Frankfurt, scoring 40 in 93 appearances, earning him his big-money move to Spain but for one reason or another, it has never really worked.
