Financial issues are seemingly no issue in this January transfer window for Spanish club Barcelona. Having already signed Ferran Torres for north of £50million, Barca now want to sign a midfielder who is top of Arsenal’s shopping list.
Former Swansea and Bayern Munich midfielder Renato Sanches is deemed a ‘priority’ by the former Spanish champions and despite their woes this season, Sanches is likely to be keen on the switch from Lille – according to the Mail.
Arsenal can lean on their good form, style of play and ambition of returning to the Champions League and a chance for Sanches to prove he can cut it in the Premier League – first time round with Swansea (on-loan) was quite frankly a disaster.
A transfer fee in the region of £25million would be acceptable by Lille for the Frenchman who has reinvented himself in Ligue 1, with his form leading to a complete u-turn in the trajectory of his career.
