Status for Super Bowl uncertain
Tyler Higbee sprained his MCL, per McVay. Team will try to get him back for SB but will be day to day process. (The Athletic – Jourdan Rodrigue)
FF Today’s Take: Much as is the case with C.J. Uzomah, who also suffered an MCL sprain on Sunday, Higbee figures to be a longshot to be completely healthy in two weeks. Kendall Blanton came up big in Higbee’s absence in the NFC Championship and would likely be a decent bet for at least five targets in the Super Bowl if Higbee is unable to make it back in time. Blanton would be the preferred option over Drew Sample if neither starting tight end is cleared to play in the Super Bowl.
