Ones for the Waiver – Gameweek 6

As teamsheets continue to throw proverbial spanners (Klopp roulette anyone?) and new signings still bed in (Ronaldo, Lukaku aside), there’s plenty of differentials and under the radar options lurking amidst the waiver and free market….here’s this week’s tips for ones to shortlist…

Shane Duffy

Brighton’s prodigal son has returned home to the first team following a stint on loan at Celtic last season. With Ben White leaving for pastures new, Duffy has slotted back into his old groove in the heart of a Brighton defence that has kept 2 clean sheets and conceded just 4 goals in total this season. Notching 10 goal attempts in the process Duffy will be looking to add points at both ends of the pitch in Monday night’s fixture against the Eagles.

Jarrod Bowen

Whilst it’s Bowen’s teammates that have been in the limelight this season, his performances and underlying stats will have been duly noted by eagle-eyed fantasy managers. Unlucky not to have been on the scoresheet yet this season, Bowen has notched more shots on target than Pablo Fornals and is on par with the much coveted Said Benrahma. With Antonio back to lead the charge vs a Leeds team that look to be suffering a sophomore slump, I’m tipping the chances to turn to points for Bowen this weekend

Salomon Rondon

Rafas golden boy looked a shrewd summer signing as news emerged of Richarlison joining Dominic Calvert Lewin on the injury list and the striker may have left the field last weekend rueing missed opportunities. Whilst only 2 official shots were registered, Rondon looked a constant threat and with Everton a team that like to get the ball in the box and Townsend whipping in crosses, it looks like only a matter of time until Rondon nods 1 or 2 home. Norwich up next for the big man so every chance that time is not too far away.

That’s your lot for this week, good luck everyone!
